To live a bold life, we need to feel confident, empowered, and ready to take on the day. We also need to feel good about ourselves and our environment. Here are the products that do just that for me.
Health and Beauty
1. COCOFLOSS Coconut-Oil Infused Woven Dental Floss
I know what you’re thinking. Twenty-five dollars for dental floss?! The fact that I, a self-proclaimed cheapo, continue to buy this floss proves how good it is.
I discovered this floss through my dental hygienist. I told him I was worried about more cavities and my gums receding, and he highly recommended COCOFLOSS. I figured, what’s 25 bucks for better teeth?
The floss exceeded my expectations. It removes far more “food particles” from my teeth than any other floss. (Sounds gross, but that’s the job of floss!)
It also lasts for six months, has a minty fresh taste and super cute packaging, and it’s cruelty-free. This guilty pleasure is here to stay!
2. THE FACE SHOP Arsainte Eco-Therapy Moisturizer
I was perusing Amazon, as one does, when I came across this gem. I’ve gone through my fair share of moisturizers, and I thought I’d just add this one to the list.
But now, it’s the only one I use daily! It doesn’t make my face greasy, even when I wear it under makeup. (And that’s not easy to come by, in my experience.)
It’s also not perfume-y. I put it on morning and night, and it has a “fresh” scent that is relaxing – not overwhelming.
It also moisturizes! Which makes sense – it’s a moisturizer – but it’s surprising how many moisturizers aren’t that moisturizing. This one is. That said, if you have super dry skin, I recommend using this + a more intense moisturizer once a week. Anyway, this product is great.
3. GLAMGLOW Supermud Clearing Treatment
I used to think of face masks as these fun, indulgent things that you do when you want to be pampered. Don’t get me wrong – they’re still that – but who knew face masks actually worked?
Let me tell you: this face mask gets to work on your face almost immediately.
It has a slight tingling sensation and gets down into your pores to remove the impurities. You can even see your pores as this mask works its magic. (If you have very sensitive skin, perhaps you might not like the tingling? But to me, it says the mask is doing its job.)
Afterward, my skin looks clearer and more supple. If I have a “new” zit forming when I do the mask, it calms it down. So you can use this mask for spot treatment, too.
The mask isn’t as cheap as I’d like, but hey, you get what you pay for. I haven’t had a mask work like this before (which, judging by the 4.7 star rating on Amazon, is the case for many people), so it all makes sense!
4. BIOLAGE Hydrasource Conditioning Balm
After a rough college breakup back in the day, I did a “box dye” and dyed my hair almost black (I’m naturally a light blonde).
A year later, I decided to return to my light blonde roots. But it wasn’t easy. The bleach required left my hair feeling like straw. It was even breaking off in little pieces!
My hairdresser at the time recommended BIOLAGE’s shampoo and conditioner. Both are great, but the conditioner in particular saved my hair. In fact, I haven’t found a hair care product I love more since.
I often get asked about my hair and what products I use, and my secret is out! This balm is super moisturizing (without making your hair look greasy), it makes your hair smell beautiful, and a little goes a long way. I’ve been happily hooked for years!

5. TROND LED Torchiere Floor Lamp
I love modern, versatile things, and this floor lamp fits the bill. It’s not imposing, yet it adds the perfect modern flair to any room. It also looks high quality, yet is easy to move around.
I personally have mine in the corner of my living room, paired with a black leather couch, a shaggy white rug, some marble end tables, and some plants to add a little color.
I’m no interior designer, so it’s nice that the lamp works with just about everything. You can also tilt the top part of the light in any direction, so you can accent a certain part of your room. The light can also be dimmed, which I love for the evenings.
A light that’s classy, adjustable, dimmable, and easy to move is a winner for me!
6. Tabletop Meditation Zen Garden
I spent an embarrassing amount of time looking for the perfect zen garden. I wanted one with sleek-looking trinkets; nice, white sand; incense; and a rake, of course!
Zen gardens are perfect for relieving stress and anxiety.
Raking the sand helps you focus on a simple, relaxing task. It brings you back to the present when you’re preoccupied with the past or future. And it helps you take a break from everything else going on in your life. We all need that break!
This zen garden currently sits in the middle of my coffee table in my living room. It looks like a cute, yet functional, piece of decor. And it’s fun to watch my friends rake away when they come over. =)
7. Gibson Elite Tequesta Stoneware Dinnerware Set
I’m not sure about you, but I used my dishes from college for quite some time after college. They’re one of those things you just don’t replace frequently. BUT Gibson Elite’s dinnerware set finally convinced me.
Sometimes we just need to go for the finer things in life. And to me, this dish set is it.
The dishes are on the heavier side, and the coloring is just beautiful. A nice glaze adds that finishing touch. The dishes are also square, which I’m personally a fan of! The food I place on these plates instantly looks fancier and more delicious.
Overall, I feel the quality and number of dishes you get is well worth the price. The food we eat deserves the best!
